What Makes This Different
Most SEO tools check your page in isolation. This skill reads the SERP first — the same way Google evaluates your page — then runs analysis in 6 phases that most tools at any price point don't combine:
| Phase | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 1. SERP Intelligence | Reads the search results page before reading your page. Diagnoses exact intent type from SERP feature composition. Extracts People Also Ask questions. Flags format mismatches — the blocker that no amount of keyword optimization can fix. |
| 2. Page Analysis | Full extraction of title, meta, headings, content depth, authorship signals, schema markup, freshness, and URL structure. |
| 3. Competitor Benchmark + Semantic Gap | Fetches the #1 ranking competitor. Extracts 10–15 semantic entities your page is missing. This is what TextFocus ($94) and Surfer SEO ($89/month) charge for — done on demand. |
| 4. E-E-A-T + Google API Leak Audit | Audits 27 E-E-A-T signals. Checks 8 signals from the 2024 Google Content Warehouse API leak — including lastSignificantUpdate, siteRadius, isAuthor, and navBoost proxies. No other free tool covers these. |
| 5. Scoring | 7-dimension weighted score calibrated against page-1 competitors, not abstract rules. Includes E-E-A-T as a first-class dimension (15% weight). |
| 6. Report | Scored, structured, prioritized. Every action item references actual page content — no generic advice. |

Why E-E-A-T Is a Scored Dimension
Post-2024 core updates, Google's Helpful Content System weights E-E-A-T signals more heavily than ever. Most audits list E-E-A-T as a side note. This skill treats it as a primary scoring dimension because:
- Missing trust signals (invalid HTTPS, no Privacy Policy) are blockers — no on-page optimization matters if Google's trust threshold isn't met.
- The 2024 Google API leak confirmed
isAuthorandauthorReputationScoreas real internal ranking fields — not theoretical guidelines. - For AI Overviews (SGE), E-E-A-T signals determine whether content is cited in generated answers — a new organic traffic channel most tools ignore.
The Google API Leak Signals
In May 2024, 14,000 internal Google Content Warehouse API documents were leaked. This skill audits proxies for 5 confirmed internal signals:
| Signal | What It Is | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
lastSignificantUpdate | Content freshness decay rate | Minor edits don't reset this — only 500+ word additions count as "significant" |
siteRadius | How far content drifts from core topic cluster | Off-topic content dilutes domain authority for your core subject |
isAuthor | Whether content has a recognized author entity | Named authors with external presence are ranked differently |
navBoost | Chrome CTR + dwell time + pogo-stick signals | Title and meta optimized for CTR directly affect rankings |
hostAge | Domain registration age | New domains (<18 months) may be in sandbox — temper ranking expectations |
No other free SEO tool audits these signals.
Requirements
- Claude Code with web access (WebFetch + WebSearch)
- Publicly accessible URL (no authentication required)
Limitations
- Cannot measure Core Web Vitals or actual page speed
- Cannot access pages behind authentication or paywalls
- Backlink profile not analyzed (requires Ahrefs/Semrush database)
- TF-IDF analysis is approximated via entity extraction, not computed across all 10 ranking pages
- Scores are based on observable signals — log file analysis not possible without server access
